Press Release

DeliveryNow.com the premiere food delivery service, has announced a joint venture with hybrid food ordering web site MyOFO.com. The partnership should be beneficial to all parties involved, MyOFO.com which considers itself a “virtual food court” will provide all point of sale marketing material such as signage on the restaurant level, all the way to television spots and billboard marketing. The partnership allows Deliverynow.com to focus on their core business of delivering food from fine restaurants that normally would not offer delivery.

Deliverynow.com now offers delivery for over 70 restaurants in northern New Jersey in five counties. President Paul Birell says “we provide delivery for restaurants that would like to expand their business without the headaches that are associated with offering delivery, such as hiring drivers, employee turnover, and maintaining vehicles and insurance”. They have accounts with restaurants such as Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, and The Office Beer Bar & Grill.

MyOFO.com which has access to over 75,000 customers through the restaurants that are members, will now be able to offer a larger restaurant selection to its free users of the site. Company president Todd C. Robinson says “people love the selection that the food court provides when they go to the mall, MyOFO.com offers the same model on the internet with extra convenient features. One useful feature is “My Favorites” which allows users to bookmark items from their favorite restaurants, which make it very easy to reorder items without having to search menus every time they wish to place an order.

Polite Employees, Rude manager

I go into Panera Bread in Caldwell, to offer them the opportunity to become a member of the Myofo community, the assistant manager informs me that that I need to speak with the manager who will be in at 11:00. She was very polite and receptive to the idea, so I decide to come back. After waiting to speak with the manager for 30 minutes, she comes out from the back office and takes a look at me and says " what ???!! online ordering ??? In a very condescending way says "I can't decide on something like that, you have to speak to corporate" . I say would you be able to give me a phone number of someone I can speak to? " I'm to busy for that, come back next week".
I have approached a few corporate owned franchises and I clearly understand I will have to speak with someone at a higher level, but I have never encountered a "Manager" that was that un-professional. It gave me a totally different perspective on Panera Bread. The funny part is, they need online ordering probably more than any restaurant that I have been in. The place is run so inefficiently, it shows that if people like the food of a restaurant they will put up with poor service to get it.

Welcome new members

I would like to welcome to the MyOFO family three restaurants, Chicken Holiday located on Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell, Otto's on Bloomfield Ave in Caldwell and The Roost on Bloomfield Ave in Montclair. All three are a welcome addition to the MyOFO community.

MyOFO blog is born

The MyOFO.com blog is born. I will try to post as often as I can. I hope this blog turns out to be an open forum for suggestions and feedback from restaurant owners and members. I will also post anything of interest that has to do with MyOFO.com.

The December 1st launch date is on track, and the excitment is building.
